Software, instrumentation, fixture, DUT and production data integration.Customer Challenges
- Wireless production testing often involves RF measurement, functional communication, online programming, fixture positioning, shielding environment and data traceability.
- The signal seen by the instrument can differ from the actual DUT interface signal because of cable, connector, switch, fixture and shielding-interface paths.
- Some products require a parallel test architecture, but the parallel count, fixture structure and sequence must be designed based on DUT and project constraints.
- RF performance testing and product functional testing need to be combined, so the solution is not simply an instrument feature page.
Solution Approach
- Build a typical system chain from test software to RF instrumentation, RF switch/cable, shielding box, test fixture and DUT.
- Use project interfaces such as JTAG, UART, Ethernet and GPIO for DUT identification, programming, configuration, communication and functional validation.
- Design RF path calibration, path-loss compensation and calibration flows based on project needs without publishing unverified dB accuracy or frequency range.
- Organize RF measurement, functional test, production records, reports and traceability in unified test software.
- Use existing Wi-Fi, RFID, antenna amplifier and V2X engineering cases as project evidence without creating customer stories.
